Do you know Python? Do you wanna work for an awesome company?
Hey there!

I work for a fantastic company in the bay called Mochi Media, and we're currently looking for Front End designers, UI designers, and Web folks!

We're a great company, I totally recommend working here, the pay is pretty darned good (I'm a CS agent!) and we have a lot of fun! Yes, part of the job can be testing the brand new games!

Do you know someone? Are YOU someone? Wanna have lunch and talk about the company?

Let me know!

Magic the Gathering
Any local furs play M:tG, or have an interest in learning to play? I just got back into cardboard crack, and am looking for some nice folks to play with who won't wipe the floor too hard with me and my brand new Innistrad vampire deck.

C'mon, guys, werewolves!

    Zoo Drawings - 6/12
    Hey guys,

With summer rolling in I wanna see if I can get these zoo drawing sessions going. First one is gonna be on 6/12 (Sunday) Here's some of info. Since I'll be doing these bi-weekly, if you're going to attend often strongly suggest a membership.

    San Francisco Zoo

    Regular Admission: $15
    Student Admission: $12

Membership: (Covers a year of admission for a one time fee)
    Individual: $75
Family: $95 (is shared with two persons and has two guest passes)
    Student: $45

Parking: $10 (There is free parking just along Sloat that is right next to the zoo)
I believe if you want to go with the Family Membership you can sign up another friend that isn't a family member. So if you want to do a Family Membership see who you can share it with. I plan on being at the zoo entereance at 11:45AM, and then head into the zoo at 12:00PM sharp. The session will end whenever the group feels all finishes, and you can stay or leave whenever you like. The objective of these zoo drawing sessions is to work on improving your drawing abilities. Looking to have helpful group critiques and such, share approaches and techniques. This first run will be a test run to see how many people can come and make it be a regular thing.

There is a outbreak of Equine  EHV-1 in CA right now. 9 Confermed cases so far, all look to trace back to National Rodeo events. Frolic– Saturday May 14th, San Francisco
Trying to post in as many places as I can before my mate finds out I used a photo of him for this month's Frolic flier.  So please, don't point this out to him cause I know he'll try and make me change it, but hopefully it'll be in to many places to take down by then.

Oh, and for any of you who were wondering what happened to the photos from the photo shoot we had set up last month, this is the link to those pics.

Ok, so it's been a whole 5 weeks since the last Frolic.  Feels like forever.  I know I'm stoked and can't wait for it.  Hope you're all getting excited for it to!  We've got some great new dj's lined up this month, for a total of 4 dj's as opposed to our usual 3 dj's.

In his first California public appearance, we've got Bucker Fuskyote, who will be on from 9-10pm. Following him from 10-11, and new to Frolic, but not new to playing out at clubs and events, we've got Mr. Rush. His style is a little harder and grittier for you furs that like your music dirty. For the 11-12:30 set, NeonBunny will be back with a bunch of new tech house, electro, and some of his favorite house tracks. And closing out the night from 12:30-2:00, we've got Tang Li Wheebs, who played back at Frolic in 2010, and played some great dirty beats, dubstep, and house, and has been tearing it up in the bay area party scene since.

Our regular VJ is off surfing in Hawaii and Indonesia, so we've got Skibit who's been putting together some visuals for you folks.

And thanks again to 5pl1c3 for running coat check, Lara for running the door, and Scratch will be back on the go-go platform! And yes, they all accept tips, as do the bartenders, so if you're enjoying yourself, open your wallets to those who help make this night happen!

And this month, we'll also be introducing our biggest fan, the b-air blower. Much smaller than the one we had last month (but still uber-poweful), this one we've tested and we'll be able to turn it on without creating the effect of a jet engine in a small room.

Coat check will once again be open, and once again, free for all fursuit bins. So feel free to check your bin, where it will be secure and safe, until you are ready to fursuit, use the fursuit lounge as you will, and then check your bin when you are done suiting for the rest of the night.

    Saturday May14th, 9pm-2am

$7 cover, only $3 with fursuit or costume, 21+ with ID.

Time for another installment of everyone's favorite furry dance club, FROLIC!!!

Frolic, Saturday March 12th, San Francisco
It's about time again for the bay area's best furry techno party happening in San Francisco.

And this Saturday marks the one year anniversary that we've been hosting this monthly event.  It's been a blast, thanks to all of you out there, and we promise to keep going by providing the best music and experience we can provide.

This month, we've got a couple of our favorite dj's.  AudioDile is a dj who's played just about every fur con out there, and is really good at getting furs to dance.  We also have a guest dj who's well known in the SF club and party scene.  JC the DJ, who's also had a radio show on KZSU (stanford radio) for the past 10 years specializing in the best and newest electronic dance music (every thursday night on 90.1 fm).

We'll also have some special gifts to give to everyone who makes it out this weekend.  Yea, free swag!!!

Oh, and for those of you who arn't able to make it because of location, or those locals who have yet to go, here's a sample of what it looks like.  2.5 hours crammed into a 4 minute time lapse video:

    Drawing At The Zoo
    Hey all,

Going to start going to the SF Zoo on a regular basis to draw the animals there, and was wondering if anyone would be interested in making it a group get together. The objective of these outings would be to draw as much as we can with each visit and learn how to improve from each other. If you're uncomfortable sharing your drawings you don't have to.

    Here are some details:
    Regular Admission: $15
    Student Admission: $12

Membership: (Covers a year of admission for a one time fee)
    Individual: $75
Family: $95 (is shared with two persons and has two guest passes)
    Student: $45

Parking: $10 (There is free parking just along Sloat that is right next to the zoo)

I believe if you want to go with the Family Membership you can sign up another friend that isn't a family member. If we can get a group going how often should we make this event? Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly? What day of the week should we make these events? Personally I will make it a habit to go weekly so I can get the most of my membership and continue to better my drawing abilities. As for day of the week I'll most likely be doing Sundays for myself, but for a larger group we must keep in mind that a lot of children do attend the zoo and it would be unfair to crowd around an exhibit to draw and steal face time with the animals from them. If we do a weekend we can possibly split up into smaller groups if we are so large.

Curious to see what others out there think and their interest level. :)

    Animation On Display?
Okay. I should have mentioned THIS one sooner too, but this weekend is Animation On Display, also known as Anime Overdose. Basically? A miniature anime convention in Japan Town San Francisco. I will be there on Saturday, and intend to buy a katana umbrella from the swordware store. And show off cosplay and stuff. Supposedly it'll still be rainy, though. Anyways, is anybody planning on going? Hope to see some of you there!

    Open Casting Call?
    Campus MovieFest:
Okay, ladies and gents, I have signed up for the Campus Movie Fest. I have the hardware right now. This is an open recruitment for anybody that would be interested in helping out with this project! As of now, I've only been tossing around some ideas, and mentioned it a couple of times so far. I admit it's short notice, but who knows, this could be just fun to throw together.

Anyways: Objective for this festival is I'm given this equipment (Video editing equipment, that is) for a week, and have that period of time in which to create a five-minute film.

I've tossed around a couple of ideas; Fuzzy and Groggy suggested taking a bunch of fursuiters and doing a Team Fortress 2 style deathmatch with Nerf guns (which is an idea I like, but may not be able to implement). We could go with a "War is hell" theme and have them at the "front lines" dealing with suppressive fire and stuff.

If not that, maybe some sort of documentary, or a drama. I have time to set up a script, I figure, as I have classes all week. Available days for shooting are likely this upcoming Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, but I would like to get all shooting done over the course of one or two days if possible.

I'm open to suggestions, of course. I haven't decided what sort of film I'd like to put together, and if/if not to request Fursuiters to assist.

Please, PLEASE give me some input on this, I want to be able to get something submitted!

    Details here: http://www.campusmoviefest.com
